老虎8-6勝犀牛開胡／猛熊10-4擊退暴龍率先二勝

3/20晚間的兩場冰球熱戰打來精彩萬分，皆靠第三節猛攻拿下勝利，老虎隊在第三節一舉攻得五分甩開犀牛糾纏，終場以8-6力克犀牛，搶下本季首場勝利，戰績追平犀牛；猛熊隊則是全場一路領先，第三節更是打出5-0的高潮提前宣告勝利到手，10-4痛擊暴龍率先拿下第二勝。
老虎與犀牛兩隊前兩節你來我往，互有攻勢，犀牛在第二節把握老虎隊防守上的漏洞連進三分，全隊士氣大振，老虎攻擊Steve
Clarke與Mark Gaulthier合力幫助球隊追平比數，使得兩節比完3-3戰成平手。
第三節老虎有如猛虎出柙，游凱文、江志遠、Mark Gaulthier、Dave Campbell、Steve
Clarke輪番建功，反觀犀牛隊僅靠Mark Paas、Rob Dombowsky、Clay Laughren幾位洋將撐場面，終場老虎就以8-6在本季冰球聯盟賽開胡。
猛熊隊面對戰力出現失調的暴龍打全場打來相當輕鬆，John Long射進三球全隊最高，John
Thompson射進兩球外帶兩次助攻，第三節猛熊打舉攻進的五分當中，John Long包辦兩分、Steve Mossing、John
Thompson各得一分一助攻，是幫助球隊連勝的三大功臣，團隊優異的表現率猛熊以10-4大勝暴龍，目前戰績二戰全勝，暴龍則是苦吞二連敗。
猛熊除了洋將厲害，本土球員表現也不含糊，卓鈺崴、黃偉紘各攻進一球，暴龍隊得分王Mal
Turner此役遭到對手嚴加看管，並無太多攻門機會，全場僅進帳一分，全隊以Tommy Sullivan攻下兩分表現最佳，本土球員沒有得分貢獻。
Tigers vs. Rhinos, 8-6
The match between the Rhinos and Tigers was a slow build
up. The first two periods were a see-saw affair with the
puck going from end to end with lots of scoring chances
but not many going in. Both goalies were making very good
saves to keep it close and low scoring. But a few sloppy
plays by the Tigers almost cost them three own goals. Also
there were some clear breaks missed by the Rhinos that could
have given them the upper hand, but they couldn’t take advantage.
The third period was a wide open affair with eight of the
fourteen goals being scored. With three minutes left to
play the Tigers pulled away, scoring two unanswered goals
to seal the victory, 8 to 6. The Tigers were lead by their
captain Steve Clarke who had a hat-trick and one helper
for a four point night. While the Rhinos spread things around
with Clay Laughren and Mark Paas each scoring two goals.
Bears vs. Raptors, 10-6
The Raptors definitely started off on the wrong foot in
this one, with Tommy Sullivan getting two penalties back
to back. But luckily Mal Turner was able to keep things
close and score on the penalty kill, notching the game at
one. On choppy ice due to the humidity, the puck was not
sitting very well for either team. The puck though was bouncing
in the Bears direction and they were able to capitalize
on several occasions with their speed and ability to find
each other. With the game three to one after the first and
six to four after the second in favour of the Bears, the
Raptors seemed to run out of steam and got lazy on the defensive
side of the puck. They failed on numerous chances to get
the puck out of their end which resulted in the Bears being
able to put the game away and win with a final score of
10 to 4. John Long was impressive in the win for the Bears
scoring 3 goals. As well John Thompson had 2 goals and 2
helpers. On the Raptors side Sullivan had a three point
night and Wally Hobbs notched his first of the season.
